Congratulations to these students! We celebrated their academic achievement tonight at the Highest Honors Banquet. To be eligible, these students earned at least a 3.67 g.p.a. in each of the previous four quarters.
Tonight the boys basketball team plays Dexter at home, 6:00. The girls travel to Greenville for a 6:00 start.
Junior High volleyball parent meeting will be February 3rd following the girls first practice at 5:30pm in the cafeteria. Please make arrangements to attend. Players must have a physical on file to practice.

Puxico Alumni Caleb Swallows came today to speak to Mrs. Armstrong’s Career Pathways to the Teaching Profession class. He discussed with the students his experience in the education program
at SEMO.
FCCLA Daddy Daughter Dance will be Saturday March 7 in the Arnold Ryan Gymnasium. Ticket sales will be February 14- March 2. More details to come!
Due to the large amounts of rain, flooding and potential for more rain in our forecast our girl's and boy's basketball games at Van Buren have been cancelled for today.
Parents and PHS Seniors...we will be hosting our 2nd and final free FAFSA Night on Friday, January 17th, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Three Rivers College will have a staff member on campus to assist with this event.
Seniors, PLEASE, make every attempt to attend this event if you plan on going to college this year after graduation. Even if you do not think you will be going, file your FAFSA just in case you change your mind at the last minute. The deadline to file your FAFSA for priority if February 1st, 2020.
Parents, if you can make it to this event, it would help your student out. You will either need to bring your 2018 tax returns with you, or be very knowledgeable of how you filed our taxes in order to utilize the shortcut IRS Tax Link.
If you attended the last FAFSA Night in October, 2019, thank you for participating, but more importantly, your student thanks you!!

The JV boys came up a bit short at Holcomb last night, but Varsity brought home a win! The boys represented our school well, and the cheerleaders kept the orange and black motivated! Come to our next contest at home on Friday, January 11 at 6:00 against Clarkton.
This week the Lady Indians will finish the Delta tournament with away contest.

Elementary Cheertastics parents please remember cheertastics begin this Wednesday directly after school. Please write a note in their planner for them to stay. Pick up at 4:30 in the elementary PE room.
Puxico R-8 School, in cooperation with Life Chapel and Life 360 Community Services, announces partnership to offer free after school snack program to all students.

Any elementary student who is interested in a cheertastics t-shirt needs to turn in an order form and payment by Monday at 3:00. Students can continue to sign up for the clinic until Wednesday, January 8th without a t-shirt order.
A special thank you to Mrs. Shannon Hanners, the elementary teachers, the paraprofessionals, the maintenance crew, the technology department, and to Dr. Wills for pulling off another successful Christmas concert.
