What a week it has been! Lots of changes and rescheduling. Here is what we have coming up in athletics.
The boys will take on Bunker at home Saturday at 2:00. With slick side roads we are not going to make this homecoming night. We are tentatively scheduling homecoming on Friday, February 26th. This will include scrimmage games between our boys. We will have cheerleaders and homecoming court followed by our homecoming dance.
The boys district tournament has been pushed to Tuesday, February 23rd at 6:30 against St. Vincent in Perryville. Tickets will be released to the boys soon. You must have a ticket to enter this game and masks are required during the entire game.
The girls will play their first district game on Monday, February 22nd, at home 6:30 game time with Valle Catholic. Tickets are required for this game as well.

The boys basketball game with Woodland tonight has been cancelled. It has been tentatively reschedule for Thursday depending on weather and road conditions.
No high school or junior high practices today. Stay warm and stay safe.
Puxico R-8 School will not be in session
on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. It is very likely that we will be out of school now through Thursday, February 18, 2021, if not the rest of the week.
Please make plans to get somewhere warm & safe.
If you need help with supplies, please let us know and we will do our best to help.
Puxico R-8 will not be in session on Friday, February 12, 2021 due to road conditions. Puxico School is also scheduled to be closed on Monday, February 15 in observance or Presidents’ Day.
We are currently working on details to reschedule our Basketball Homecoming and Elementary Valentine’s Day Celebrations. We will provide updates ASAP.

Due to the forecast for icy road conditions, Puxico R-8 School will be closed on Wednesday, February 10. Campus will be closed.
Slight change to our girl's game for this evening. Game time is now 5:00. No fan restrictions. Come cheer on the Lady Indians their last home game of the season. #gopuxico
Boys basketball will hold a nonmandatory practice from 3-4:45 in the Arnold Ryan Gym. Girls basketball players can come in at 4:45 to shoot and warm up.
The JH volleyball team will also be holding nonmandatory practice and conditioning from 3:30-5:30 in the FEMA.
Due to the return travel time for the boys at their away game, the game for tonight at Ellington has been cancelled.
The girls will host 1 home game at 6:00 with Scott City. No fan restrictions for this game.
Weather Watching:
Due to a new weather system bringing in cold temps and possible precipitation after game time tonight the girl's basketball team will not be traveling to Campbell this evening. Girls will practice from 4-5:30 this afternoon. A possible reschedule date for the game to be determined.
With tomorrow's rising temperatures and Campbell being in school as scheduled the girls basketball game is on for Monday, Feb 8th. Girls bus will leave at 4:30. Game time is 6:00. No fan restrictions.
Boys basketball practice will run from 2-4:30 in the Arnold Ryan Gym.
JH volleyball practice has been cancelled. Practice will resume on Tuesday.
Due to the expected secondary road conditions in the morning when buses go out on the route, Puxico R-8 School will not be in session on Monday, February 8. Many of our routes have multiple turn arounds on gravel roads with the expectation of refreezing of the remaining snow/ice.
The boys travel to Bloomfield this evening for an SCAA conference game. JV starts at 6:00 followed by varsity. SCAA tickets are required for entry. Come out and support our Indians. #gopuxico
Tonight our elementary cheertastics cheerleaders got to show off their new cheers, dances, and jumps at the varsity basketball game! These young Indians had a blast this week working with the high school cheerleaders learning the ins and outs of cheering. #gopuxico
Congratulations to Carson Ward for earning 2nd place in the Social Studies competition at the virtual State Jr. Beta conference this year! We are very proud of him! Way to go Carson! Job well done!
