Tonight the Indians pulled a double header in the SCAA Tournament Baseball Tournament. Their dedicated fans bundled up and cheered on the Indians the whole night. The first game came to an early end with a win by the Indians over the Richland Rebels. Colton McCullom worked hard for the Indians on the pitching mound. Senior Nolan Foster retuned to play tonight to help the Indians earn their win. Freshman Ben Jones worked hard on first base to tag some outs. Then the Indians faced Bloomfield’s Wildcats in a hard fought game. Sophomore Cole Barnfield, freshmen Thomas Burch, and senior Blake Aikey pitched for the Indians in their second game. Sophomore Eric Riddle caught behind home plate the entire night. It was an exciting night of baseball with double plays, solid pitching, and great catches in the outfield. The Indians had a commanding lead early on in the second game. Junior, David Holyfield and senior Stormy Gaines had crucial catches and plays for the Indians. In the sixth inning the Wildcats attacked the Indians’ large lead earning several runs, making it a tied game. Stormy Gaines scored in the 7th to help the Indians take the lead again 12-11. Bloomfield came back to tie and then take the win.
